The Drama department is committed to extending each girl’s range of experiences and understanding, and therefore encourages them to see external plays and productions around London, which utilise differing styles and genres, ranging from Shakespeare to physical theatre, horror stories to graphic naturalism. Additionally, the department has worked to enable girls to attended workshops with professional practitioners on subjects as varied as Chekhovian acting and physical theatre devising techniques.

Students in Years 7 & 8 have the opportunity to join Drama Club and there is also a Drama Committee who help with all areas in school productions. Participants learn a broad range of skills and gain valuable experience through these extra curricular activities.

Each year the drama department is responsible for dozens of productions. The majority of these are examination pieces which are consistently of an outstanding quality. Many productions are in association with CLS with girls being involved there and boys at CLSG and every year there is a joint musical.
