A visit to the Japanese House

Year 7 and 8 Art groups visited The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945 at the Barbican Art Gallery earlier this month.

The exhibition was co-organised by the Japan Foundation and the Barbican Centre and featured a full-size recreation of Moriyama House, designed in Tokyo by Ryue Nishizawa in 2005 and inhabited by Yasuo Moriyama, an urban hermit. The students enjoyed exploring and recording from the innovative exhibition.
