Year 12 student selected for UK maths team

Congratulations to Year 12 student Naomi Wei who has been selected as a member of the UK team for the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO)

Naomi made the team following an excellent performance in both rounds of the British Mathematical Olympiad. She scored 30/40 in round 2 the Olympiad, and ranked joint 6th in the UK. Naomi will join the rest of her team in Zürich, Switzerland from the 6th to the 12th April, as they compete to become European champions.

The European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad is an international mathematics competition, with two papers taken on consecutive days. Participating countries send teams consisting of four female mathematicians and the competition takes place in a different European country each year.
